Small Group Mentoring with One on One Sessions

This program is meant to bring like heart/minds together in a community interested in cultivating kind awareness, new spiritual friendships, a deeper understanding of embodiment, Dharma philosophy and psychology. And equally to personalize the practices so that they are working specifically for your life and circumstances.

As our primary means of exploration we’ll be emphasizing two forms of practice – formal and informal primarily from the Vipassana/Insight tradition with some practical practices from the Tibetan and Yogic traditions.

In our foundational formal practice we set aside dedicated time to look within and develop the capacity to witness. Branching from this developed sustained attention we have the ability to activate choices based on what we observe. Formal practice is then the optimal foundation for how we are the rest of our day.

During the rest of the day, as in informal practice, our cultivated foundation really matters. It’s during normal waking hours that we can continue to be awake and keenly interested in our conditioned behavior and actions as they are arising.  We can actually make choices. This is when choice reigns supreme.

And honestly, no matter how long we have practiced sometimes there’s times of dryness or being stuck and not wanting to look within and this group is for those times as well. Being in the company of like heart/minds and guided by someone who has done something substantially longer than you have can open doors of perception, curiosity and Virya, the joyful energy we all need to boost necessary stamina and energy for meeting life with all it’s difficulties and joys, as it is right now.

The Components:

Monthly 90 minute group meetings on Zoom:

These meetings will offer a breathing practice, a guided meditation, a short talk for context and philosophy and sharing time with group members.

Monthly 45 minute one on one private session with Jill:

These meetings will be tailored to you; where you are, where you’ve been and what you are seeking now going forward. There will be a guided practice (recorded just for you) possibly a breathing practice or restorative yoga posture(s), opportunities to balance your nervous system and vagal nerve, and ways to frame and or reframe how you are meeting yourself and life.

Optional Monthly 60 minute peer-led group meeting on Zoom

Recordings of all practices, from your private session and the group sessions.

Resources for additional readings, research and avenues of pursuit.

All within the context of Buddhist philosophy and psychology and somatic psychology and yogic practices.

A dedicated meditation practice for at least 2 years is required.  Priority will be given to those whom have done a 7 day or longer silent Insight retreat.
