Integrating Mindfulness into Your Profession

Monday, March 5, 5:30pm – 6:30pm

It’s true, mindfulness can be an excellent non-invasive, complimentary support and intervention for working with the mind, body, and heart. You may have read the research findings and maybe even practiced enough to recognize the benefits for yourself.

Integrating mindfulness into your personal life and profession is supported by several key pillars: an understanding of what the practice is; developing or sustaining a daily practice of your own; finding someone with a long-term practice to guide and inspire you; having a community of like minds and hearts to support the daily living of your spiritual practice and inquiry.

Jill Satterfield will discuss these topics and offer a few ways to begin integrating mindfulness into your professional work, your daily life, and future supervision groups for healthcare clinicians.

Jill was named “one of the best Buddhist and yoga teachers in the country” by Shambhala Sun Magazine and has been teaching for over 30 years. Her work focuses on developing and sharing practical and accessible embodied mindfulness tools that can be applied directly into caregiving professions and for the clinicians themselves. She is a pioneer in the field of integrating mindfulness into healthcare settings and communities. Featured in the NY Times, MORE, Tricycle, Wall Street Journal amongst others, she teaches at Spirit Rock and in UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center as well as internationally. www.jillsatterfield.org
