The Embodied Mind 6 Month Immersion and/or 200 Hour Training

The Embodied Mind Training and Immersion draw together the practices of mindfulness and meditation, somatic therapy, yoga asana and contemplative psychology. As continuing education, life long learning skills or a way to simply enhance your practices, these skills are intended to open a greater capacity to live daily with more ease and genuine fulfillment.
Option 1: Embodied Mind Immersion
Integrating Mindfulness and Yoga
1 weekend a month for 6 months
This 6 – month immersion is a portal to deepen and enhance your yoga practice, strengthen or begin a practice of mindfulness and meditation and become part of a kind community of others intending to do the same.
A typical day will include:
- Guided mindfulness and meditation sessions
- Mindful movement practices
- The foundations of mindfulness, meditation and skillful living from the Buddhist Traditions
- Compassion practices
- Breath Practices
Specific Themes of Practice will Include:
- Working with Anxiety and Depression
- Self Compassion
- Resilience and Self Care
- Emotional Intelligence
- Inner Awareness
- Posture Alignment
- Mindfulness in Restorative Yoga Postures
Option 2: The Embodied Mind
200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
2 Weekends per month for 6 Months
The 200 hour Embodied Mind Teacher Training is based in the same practices and principles as the Immersion, but will add and or further develop your understanding of:
- Mindfulness and meditation practices
- Buddhist philosophy and psychology
- Advanced posture alignment
- Somatic yoga therapy for particular conditions and communities
- Breath practices and applications for mental, physical or emotional conditions
- How to lead a mindful movement class or workshop
- How to facilitate a short mindfulness practice
Each student will receive a personal mentoring session with Jill per month.
