“As we inhabit our body with increasing sensitivity, we learn its unspoken language and patterns, which gives us tremendous freedom to make choices. The practice of cutting thoughts and dispersing negative repetitive patterns can be simplified by attending to the patterns in the body first, before they begin to be spun around in the mind”.

Berkeley: Women’s Meditation Group
This is a group of 6-12 women of all ages and backgrounds that meet to practice meditation, dive into Dharma philosophy and its practical means of embodied mindfulness and be in kind and supportive community.
The brushstroke of the evening goes like this: We start with a brief check in, then have a 30 minute guided sit that can include some breathing practice for balance or mindful movement while on the chair or cushion for grounding and presence. This is followed by a short tea break and then a Dharma talk and always a lively discussion.
We generally meet on a Monday evening 2x’s a month, with occasional Wednesday’s to adjust for school holidays and Jill’s travel. Time is 6:15-8:15pm. Space is very limited, so please write Jill for availability dates, and costs. Open to all self – identified women.

Integrating Embodied Mindfulness: Group and Individual Sessions for Mental Health Clinicians
Being embodied and mindful can eventually become a way of being in the world. With practice, our capacity for ease and happiness grows and our tolerance for stress increases. But like anything developed it takes time, repetition, good support and skillful guidance.
These confidential group and individual sessions were created to help you with just that. Either in a small group of like- minded clinicians, or in individual one on one sessions, you’ll be supported to meet your life and what it is bringing to you now. You’ll gain tools from a variety of somatic, mindfulness and meditation practices that can compliment your clinical work with clients and help you frame the way you meet your own life to experience more ease and thrive.
Each Group 1.5-hour session provides:
A confidential check in
Guided mindfulness practice, somatic awareness or breathing practice
Relevant, practical tools for self -care, emotional intelligence and combatting compassion fatigue
Q + A and group dialogue
A recording of the practice sent to you electronically
*If you miss a session you are offered a 30 – minute consult free of charge
Additional Individual Support:
Individual sessions are an opportunity to have practices designed specifically to meet your needs. By investigating your mind, heart and body through the lens of Buddhist and somatic psychology you’ll be offered tailored guided practices and perspectives to meet your life more fully, compassionately and insightfully.
